My journalism training was classic
newspaper reporting. The print
experience influences my work
with television news, independent
documentary and public relations.
I use reporting and storytelling to
better communicate the issues
advocacy groups need people
to see. I’ve focused on social
justice, civil liberties, health and
the environment.
I’ve helped launch lawsuits for the
American Civil Liberties Union by
applying reporting methods to
plaintiff-finding. The goal is to
build a case with a compelling
narrative that shapes both legal
and public opinion.
I also produce online videos that
provide an emotional connection
to issues, using personal stories
to help audiences understand
why they should care.
